“Wait, that was the end of the chapter?” said Benny. “That's weird.”
“How do you know that
this is a new chapter?” I asked. “Do you have some of
Toaster-Man's DNA, somehow?”
“I didn't know, I just
guessed,” said Benny. “There's this little blip feeling whenever
there's a new chapter.”
“I dunno,” I said. “It
just felt like the right place for a new chapter. I think it was
because you said 'Welcome to the Bank of Benny' in a dramatic voice.”
“Wait, so if I said
welcome to something in a dramatic voice it would make there be a new
chapter?” asked Jessica.
“Interesting,” said
7ollion.
“Welcome to the new
chapter,” said Jessica.
“Nope, nothing happened,”
said Benny. “No blip. Remember that little feeling of a slight
discontinuity in reality that happened a minute ago? You should feel
something like that.”
“I don't think she said
it dramatically enough,” said Jeffery.
Jessica cleared her throat.
“Welcome,” she said. “To the new chapter.”
